Spring 2016 Cruelty-Free Campus Event Products

Hey guys! A bit late but here is our review of all the awesome products we gave out at our last CFC event in the Spring semester of 2016:

Hello is a brand that creates cruelty-free and vegan oral care products sans dyes, parabens, artificial sweeteners, triclosan, microbeads, peroxide, and more! This natural toothpaste creates no weird aftertaste, but effectively leaves your mouth feeling clean without the overly-minty residue.

Next, Alaffia is a beauty brand on a mission! This brand creates natural, animal-friendly products as well as fights for the empowerment of humans in Togo, West Africa. They headline many missions for maternal care and health, education, reforestation, and a project to help the people of Togo obtain eyeglasses. Their line of natural products takes inspiration from the Togo, boasting unrefined shea butter and coconut oil. The orange vanilla lotion goes on smooth and smells beautifully summery! We also want to note that this is the SECOND time this amazing company has contributed to our event (Thank you so much!) and you can check out our last review on their stuff here.

Looking for a new lip balm as the colder weather approaches? Hurraw! Balm (another great company that has helped us out at a previous campaign!) has many all natural, vegan balms created from raw, organize, and fair trade ingredients. I love this company because of their great and friendly service, superb product, and fun options. The grapefruit and papaya pineapple are my favorites, but maybe you’d like more unusual option. Say, how about some coffee bean lip balm?

While all of these products are essentially gender-neutral, most cruelty-free products are not specifically designed for males. Students for Animals was thrilled to have Jack Black on board! This fragrance-free, paraben-free, colorant-free skin-care company creates refreshingly easy and honest men’s products like deodorant, cleanser, pomade, shaving cream, and more. Both the moisturizer and wash were happily approved by my significant other!

Want a brand that’s committed to serving you certified organic, natural, eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and fair-trade products? Shea Moisture can do that as well as supporting global and local charities and communities! Their safe beauty products boast no parabens, phthalates, paraffin, formaldehyde, propylene gycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, synthetic colors, DEA, petroleum, or animal testing. Their creamy olive and green tea body lotion smells clean and leaves skin soft and supple.

Abba is an animal-friendly hair care company that provides high-quality, 100% vegan products. Their products are not only professional, but also dedicated to purity, meaning they are gluten-free, paraben-free, DEA-free, and more. This ProQuinoa Complex Moisture shampoo is refreshingly minty and leaves your hair feeling extra clean and soft!

Finally, Red Apple Lipstick and Nubian Heritage are two other companies we gladly showcased. Red Apple Lipstick is a gluten-free, toxin-free, allergen-friendly makeup brand that is committed to leaving out animals out of the process. Nubian Heritage focuses on healing and wellness with their line of all-natural products.

We’d like to thank Hello, Alaffia, Hurraw!, Jack Black, Shea Moisture, Abba, Red Apple Lipstick, and Nubian Heritage for donating their samples and for headlining a mission to bring more ethical products into the market.
